Items (Engineered Items, Pickup & TMs)

This page will cover all special items in the game. The majority of this page will be dedicated to discussing the ability of Engineers to create items. Pokémon with the Ability Pickup may respond here once a week for us to roll for an item. The item will be dependent on the Pokémon's level and will follow this listing. Pokéballs will be replaced with a random One-Use Consumable.

Available TMs are also listed at the bottom of this page and may be used by anyone in the game at any time.

Engineers are able to craft a special item once every week - an Enhanced weapon or one of the items listed below. Enhanced weapons may be imbued with up to two elemental typings. As the city of Union grows and as the Enlightened and trainers continue to explore further, new resources and new special items will become available. As there are a limited amount of resources, Engineers are encouraged to make threads to go out and gather the resources they need; however, it is acceptable for Engineers to assume that some of these things may be found in the city proper.

If, however, we see that twenty-five Moon Stones have been made in the course of two weeks, we may make a note that the resources for Moon Stones have run out, and they will be unable to be crafted until a certain amount of time has passed or until a player initiates a resource-collection log.

As of October 18th, 2015, Engineers will be able to make the following:

Enhanced Weaponry and Armor
Wood and Paper: Engineers may make Enhanced weaponry and items out of wood and paper found in the forest.

Stone and Iron: Engineers may make Enhanced weaponry and items out of stone and iron found in the mountains and Iron Mine.

Fire, Water, Thunder, and Leaf Crystal: Engineers may make Enhanced weaponry and items out of the crystals found in various areas.

Steel and Lead: Engineers may make Enhanced weaponry and items out of steel received from Caldera. They may also make weaponry suitable for gunners.

Name: Harry Dresden
Spell Being Made: Obscurata. A spell that bends light to create a veil, rendering Harry and anything or anyone in contact with him invisible to sight though not to other methods like thermal imaging or simple scent. It's a branch of magic Harry isn't very good at though so anybody under the veil must remain perfectly still or the illusion breaks.

This spell will be of the Psychic Type.

Name: Sophia Nate
Item Being Made: Ice Stone - a variant of the Icy Rock, this circular piece of frozen quartz from Glacier has been magically imbued to maintain a steady freezing cold temperature while held or worn. Especially good for ice-type pokémon who may not find Union's warmer climes suited to their tastes.

Name: Sophia Nate
Spell Being Made: Detect Magic - a weak spell, with a maximum radius of 6 to 8 yards.
Sophia sends out a pulse of power, seeking out any signs of existing magic in a location. The results of this spell cannot be directly shared with or made visible to others.
  • This spell makes other spells and the presence of magic temporarily visible to her sight, for a maximum duration of one hour. It can be deliberately cancelled prior to expiry time.
  • The brighter its appearance, the more powerful and/or recently cast the spell likely is, though she cannot tell what element may be involved in its makeup or who the caster was. She can discern if the spell is offensive, defensive or supportive in nature.
  • She can also see any trails of magical auras left behind in the wake of another mage or cast spell, though once the path goes beyond her detection range, she can no longer track it. Too many mages in one location may muddle the findings.

This is a baseline identification spell that can be used in tandem with Detect Magic, and upgraded over time. Sophia can use this spell to inspect sources of magic and spells cast by others. The basic version can identify a spell's element, the element of the caster and base strengths and weaknesses of the spell itself.

Name: Harry Dresden
Spell Being Made: Malivaso. Inspired by his mission to Gigas, Harry's cooked up a spell to foul up and ruin technology. The spell works by altering probability and skewing events toward failure so the more delicate components and parts a machine has the more likely it is to fail due to this spell. For example, a computer would be easily fried by this spell while, say, a water wheel would not.

This spell also only works by line of sight so while he could destroy a single computer or console he couldn't walk into a building and down its entire network or electrical system. This spell is Dark-aligned.

Name: Harry Dresden
Item Being Made: Gardevoirite

Name: Harry Dresden
Spell Being Made: Tres Oculus. A spell that substitutes Harry's "Sight" ability. Harry opens up his third eye and sees the world on "spiritual" level. He can see energy in motion clearly and when looking on a place or being he sees both as a sort of metaphorical image. For instance, a place of peace and happiness might be bright and colorful and beautiful while a place where something terrible happened might be gloomy and nightmarish. Likewise a kind, caring person may appear angelic while an evil person would appear twisted and horrifying.

Like with most of his spells though, this one comes with little control and no "filter." There are some things the human mind just isn't equipped to handle and the tres oculus exposes the user to all of it with no filter. Worse, anything Harry sees using this spell will not fade with time. The memory will remain as clear and perfect as the first time he laid eyes on it for the rest of his life so he'll use it rather sparingly. Psychic-aligned.
