The Unseen World is just the spirit world. It's not supposed to be for humans, but you know. Humans generally aren't supposed to throw their souls out of their bodies and wander around like that, either.

In Ghost Hound, Astrally projecting also means you can wander around the real world and see things you wouldn't normally. For example, Taro (Makoto's cousin) peeked in at some yeast that was brewing and he could see the yeast's spirits all alive and moving around and colourful and stuff. You can't really touch or affect anything like that, though--you're just a soul/ghost/thing. Your body hangs out where you left it, unresponsive and 'asleep.'

When you're astrally projecting around the Real World in his canon, there's often a lot of ambient... things hanging around, some of which are clearly like the spirits of primordial things. Not dinosaurs, more like proto-sealife and stuff. Just chilling on the walls. I figure this is basically just the equivalent of ghost types and stuff that aren't letting themselves be seen by humans.

I'm not really adamant about figuring out an equivalent to the Unseen World itself if there's not one, although I guess there are Pokemon that have entries mentioning a spirit world (Dusknoir is the only one that springs to mind immediately, but.)
