I see above that happiness/affection evolutions require a strong relationship and that being treated poorly may prevent evolution. My question is, if a Pokémon really likes or cares for their trainer but the trainer isn't too keen on the Pokémon, can the Pokémon still evolve? Presumably this would at least double the timescale if it's possible.
