I didn't really mean that Johto characters should know more!!! Or anything, I was just worried about AUing Morty with that in mind. Would it be kosher for him to have seen an old depiction of Ho Oh (kind of like they have in the anime) as a kid an getting super interested in the lore from that? Without knowing the name, of course, and etc. Wanting to discover more about that stuff because of it, that sort of thing.
