Hello! A question like this has been asked before but we think it will be worth putting something up in the FAQ itself to clarify any future issues. I'll address your list of questions at the bottom first.

1) Citizens know very little about legendaries, if anything! While there are half-remembered myths and legends, they would be referred to very vaguely and few people will agree about what they look like or what they actually did. A potential parallel would be something like our lack of knowledge of older myths like Sumerian and Akkadian mythology and our need to fill in the blanks. Very rare Pokemon may even be mistaken for deities or associated with deities due to some misunderstanding. Specific details like the Tin Tower story would almost certainly be unknown, and obscurer legendaries may be forgotten entirely.

2) There are some depictions of legendaries in ruins and passed down in surviving families and such so generally it won't be out of the question for to be accepted that a god of the sky is bird-like

3) No, although some people might claim that the 'leader' of the pantheon is the most important and so on and so forth.

4) Yes, there are multiple gods. Again, some people may even make up their own out of misunderstandings or otherwise.

5) There wouldn't be a 'Dialga' and a 'Palkia' to make the association with, but myths about a god of time and a god of space wouldn't be out of the question.

In terms of AUing Morty, while we aren't sure we agree that Johto is any more or less lore-heavy than the rest of the regions, we can't really accept that as a reason to give more information about the Johto legendaries, regardless. However, Morty is certainly applicable as someone who is interested in researching old legends and mythology. Starting out, he wouldn't know more than anyone else in the game, but you are certainly welcome to have him focus on research and lore. We always want to reward players who take initiative to do things once they're in the game, and if you try for it, we'll definitely do what we can to accommodate you, but we can't give extra boosts starting out.

We can say, though, that we will be creating an opportunity in the near future for characters who are more research-minded especially in regards to the legendaries. This is partially in response to questions like these and partially because it fits well with the framework of the next few events as well.

Hopefully this helps in your app!
