Chansey, for some reason, is extremely protective of its egg, and refuses to allow anyone to get near it. It seems to dream of having a child of some sort to care for and until such a person or Pokemon appears, it will use the egg as a substitute. It tucks it into bed at night and cradles it in its stubby arms whenever it's feeling down.
