This is generally fine, there's only one setting-specific sticking point to work with. Would it be possible to be a bit less specific about what created them? We're trying to avoid referencing the original regions of the Pokemon universe for any number of storyline reasons, so you can just say they were created elsewhere and eventually brought to Union.
