Scyther is a bit of a stoic. It doesn't talk very much, and when it does it's usually in short comments. It does, however, have an extremely protective streak. It acts like a surly bodyguard most of the time, and when it's not otherwise occupied it will sometimes take contracts from other Pokemon or Shifters to do just that, bringing Arachne home berries and other things as tithes to a superior.
Sewaddle, on the other hand, is all over the place. It bounces off walls, runs into things, and is generally a bundle of energy. It never seems to get tired, and likes to try and get Arachne to play games with it, though the games tend to change rules at random during play. It may be a sore loser.
